Plyometrics and Agility Training Techniques




As a basketball player, you are always able to get quicker and more agile. Plyometrics help you do this. And the good thing about them is that there are a variety of drills to choose from to increase your quickness and agility. Check out the different exercises below...

Jumping Rope

Jumping rope is a great way to strengthen leg and ankle muscles as well as increase agility and quickness. It also increases your coordination and makes you control your body. We have stationary jump rope techniques and exercises as well as moving jump rope exercises and techniques .

Agility Ladder Drills

Agility ladder drills help you move quicker and cut faster. They can be very helpful for improving your first step when you are about to dribble. They also focus on controlling your body and core strength.




DOT Drill

The dot drill makes you get used to moving your lower body in a variety of different ways. It also helps your overall body control and is great for developing quickness. The actual drill takes about 1 minute, so it is great for those who are on a tight schedule.

Jumping Exercises and Drills

There are many plyometrics drills you can choose from to increase your ankle, calf, and lower body strength. And the good thing about these drills is that they do not require much space, so you can do them in nearly any area. Line jumps are one of these exercises.
